Troubleshooting FAQ.
First make sure DRO is not in a special function mode, if yes exit.
Exchange one axis of linear scale with another – if the problem moves to another axis then the problem is with the linear scale. If the problem is the same then the DRO unit is faulty. Please contact your dealer for a replacement.
Change count direction in DRO set-up. Press the decimal point key when DRO is turned on during self check. Press the down arrow key until “X-DIR” is shown. If direction is wrong in Y axis, press down arrow key again, Etc. Enter 0 for positive count and 1 for negative count. To quit settings, press down arrow twice, then decimal point key.
The DRO stores axis position immediately at power off. This position will be displayed when unit is turned on again. Please note that the DRO cannot track movement of machine when there is no power – so please ensure machine is not moved.
Yes, our DRO’s are compatible with several international brands of linear scale. However, please contact your local dealer for advice as some connections and signals are not the same.
